Terms

Terms for using the SnowLine Guide winter fishing school website.

By accessing or using the SnowLine Guide site, even as a demo, you agree to follow the rules described on this page. If you do not accept these terms, you should not continue to use the website.

SnowLine Guide is currently a fictional teaching project. If someone later uses this design for a real winter fishing school, they must adjust these terms to match their own laws, services and contact details.

Educational content, not professional advice

The material on this website is meant for general education about winter fishing, movement on ice and reflective journaling. It does not replace:

  • Official safety instructions or warnings in your region.
  • Local laws or regulations about ice thickness or access.
  • Training provided by certified guides, rescue teams or schools.

You remain fully responsible for your own decisions and risk assessment on and near ice. Always follow local rules, signage and common sense before trusting any general tips from this site.

Inherent risk of winter fishing and ice

Winter environments are unpredictable. Ice conditions, weather and water behaviour can change faster than any online guide can be updated.

By using this website you accept that winter fishing, moving on frozen water and travelling in cold conditions involve real risk of injury, cold stress, property damage or worse. The site operator, designer and author of the content cannot be held responsible for accidents that happen on actual ice or during your trips.

Acceptable use of the website

You agree to use the SnowLine Guide site in a calm and lawful way. In particular, you agree not to:

  • Attempt to break, overload or bypass the technical security of the site.
  • Scrape, copy or mirror large parts of the content in a misleading way.
  • Use any contact channels published here to send spam, abuse or harmful links.
  • Present yourself as an official representative of SnowLine Guide if you are not.

The operator may block access, apply technical limits or take other appropriate measures if these rules are ignored.

Content and intellectual property

Unless clearly stated otherwise, the layout, text, design elements and other content on the SnowLine Guide website are protected by copyright or similar rights.

You may read the content for personal use and inspiration. For any other use — such as re-publishing, translation, or commercial reuse — you should obtain permission from the eventual real rights holder or follow the licence that is explicitly attached to the project.

Links to other resources

The website may occasionally point to third-party resources, such as safety guidelines, weather services or educational material from other organisations.

Those external sites are not under the control of SnowLine Guide. The project is not responsible for their content, accuracy, privacy practices or availability. You should read their own terms and privacy notices before using them.

Changes to the site or these terms

The content, structure and availability of the SnowLine Guide website may change over time. The operator can update, move or remove pages without notice, especially while the project is still experimental.

These terms may also be revised from time to time. When that happens, a new “last updated” date should be shown near the top of the page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the new version.

Governing law for real deployments

Right now, SnowLine Guide is a design and writing exercise, not an active commercial service. If a real organisation adopts this site, the operator must define which country’s laws govern the terms and how disputes will be handled.

Visitors should always check the most recent version of this page and any local legal notice that the real operator publishes alongside it.

Contact about these terms

For the demo version of SnowLine Guide, there is no active support team. If a future operator uses this site, they should add a working contact address here, for example:
